File Processing & Retention Policy

Where files are processed

Every tool page states where processing happens before you choose a file:

• In your browser: the file never leaves your device.
• On our servers: the file is uploaded over HTTPS, stored in temporary private storage, processed by a background worker, and deleted automatically. [Operator: state storage encryption and worker isolation as deployed.]

Retention periods

• Anonymous use: results are kept for the period shown on the tool page (default 1 hour).
• Free accounts: default 2 hours. Paid plans: as listed on the Pricing page.
• API: results are available for the period stated in the API documentation.

You can delete stored results immediately from your dashboard. A cleanup process removes expired files from object storage and marks them deleted. Encrypted infrastructure backups, if any, expire on their own schedule and are not used to restore individual documents.

What we don't do

• Staff do not access document contents as part of normal operations.
• We don't use documents for analytics or advertising.
• We don't send document contents to analytics providers.

AI tools

Only extracted text is sent, only after explicit confirmation each time, and only to the configured AI provider.
